Lock Rekey and Master key. When employees leave unexpectedly the locks should be rekeyed. Most corp. require it even if the person is going up. Not changing the locks only causes mistrust later on. Master keying becomes necessary in large buildings or apts.

Safe changes and repairs. As with lock rekeying changing the safe combination when employees leave is prudent. Most Safe Manufactures suggest having combos. changed once a year to help prevent some common problems. Don't wait till the safe won't open to call for help.
Push Button Door Locks. Stand alone combination door lock can be very effective at controlling access. In high turn over jobs codes can be changed by the user at no expense in a few minutes.
